The Nissan Figaro - a Style Icon

(Check out the staff gallery) The Nissan Figaro can be used as an everyday car or just simply parked up to use as a second car on weekends or when the sun is shining. You can have real confidence in the vehicles reliability either way. Based on the Nissan Micra the Figaro has a 1.0 litre turbo charged engine and is capable of reaching speeds exceeding 100 mph with 0 – 60 in approx 12 seconds. The launch of this wonderfully individual “one off” was at the Tokyo motor show in 1989. It then went into production in 1991 when it was announced by Nissan it would only be making 20,000 units. The demand was completely overwhelming; it seemed half of Japan wanted to own one of these cars. The only fair solution to this was to run a lottery, if you were fortunate enough to have one of the winning tickets you could then purchase one. Truly amazing, this could only happen with this car!!

• The white. All four wheel trims both door mirrors and the complete white roof get re sprayed, this really does make the car look like new.

• Chrome. Generally all of the chrome is in good order, however if certain sections are considered unacceptable they will be replaced with brand new genuine Nissan ones.

• Under body protection. Whilst I do not consider this to be necessary, as the vehicle body has already been treated in production at the factory, if you would like the complete under body treating further this will be done.

• Inner body protection. Before the vehicle is re fitted with all the interior panels, the technicians spray anti corrosion protection in to all the panels including doors, rear wings, boot lids x 2, sill panels x 2 and bonnet. Every panel on the car except the front wings as they are made from a modified polyamide-polyphenylene oxide alloy resin (plastic). The reason for this treatment is to prolong the life of the car.

• Service as required. As well as what is shown up from the p.d.i. check the service department also replace the timing belt and tensioner and water pump, alternator belt, power steering belt, air conditioning belt, oil filter, air filter, fuel filter, spark plugs, rocker cover bolts. In addition to this other service items such as discs and pads, shock absorbers, battery, plug leads, rotor arm and cap, steering rack bushes and boots, engine mountings, exhaust system. Etc etc what ever these vehicles require gets done!!

• Convertible roof. All outer roofs are replaced with a high quality aftermarket part which fits perfectly and looks original. We also remove the rear window complete as they are prone for corrosion. Any treatment required gets done with a brand new white rear window surround fitted. Then finished of with a brand new tonnau cover. (This goes between the upper boot lid and the parcel shelf).

• Warranty. All of our vehicles come with a comprehensive three month warranty this can be upgraded to a twelve month. Please ask for details. * Priority parts supply. Not all Nissan dealers can source genuine parts. But as we have been dealing with many established companies for years, we reserve an extensive range of stock for our customers. So even if you cannot return your car to us for service or repairs we will still supply you with parts.

• Figaro courtesy car. Do not worry about being without your pride and joy while we provide a complete after sales service. While you are booked in for service, mot or repair/paintwork we can reserve you the Figaro courtesy car (Subject to availability)

• Road Tax and MOT. Six months road tax and twelve months MOT.

• Original stereo. All of our Figaro’s come with the original stereo; due to the age of them they require upgrading. This is done by clarion UK. www.clarion-service.co.uk and all come with I pod connection. To compliment the upgraded stereo we exchange door speakers as well.

• Extras. We try to cater for each and every individual. You are an individual this is why you want to own one of these cars. Within reason we will do what ever we can to make this car suite your exact requirements. Extras usually available are bonnet and boot swirls, cup holder, wind deflectors, boot tray, mats, handbrake cover, headlamp eyebrows, parking stick, chrome pack etc etc.

• Security. If requested we can also price for getting a cobra, category 1 or category 2 alarm and immobiliser, we can also get central locking fitted to the vehicle which again is one of those nice little extras that brings the vehicle up to date.
